The project will run over a period of two and a half years and be divided into three phases: Creating an ICT environment, Capacity Building, and Testing and Verification. Phase I - Set up project management and administration
- Test and procure appropriate mobile medical devices
- Modify mobile devices for appropriate telemedicine purposes according to local environment and needs
- Procure and implement necessary equipment for enhanced infrastructure at selected telecenters
- Develop methods for data acquisition, data storage, and transmission
- Field testing of mobile medical devices by project partners.
Phase II
- Develop curriculum, methodology, training modules and materials for training and health workers, technicians and physicians.
- Conduct training on the telemedicine system including hands-on training for mobile medical devices.
Phase III - Modification and improvement of telemedicine system based on field-testing by health workers, technicians and physicians.
- Implementation of the mobile medical devices and communication platform
- Verification of the implemented telemedicine system
- Evaluation and follow-up
