Inaugurated in March 2006, Grameen Communications, together with KTH and SPIDER funding, has established a rural ICT centre at Nohata Girls’ college in the Magura district. Many seminars, workshops, and training programs have been organized as this center to for rural science teachers to increase interest in science education among the young students. Workshops for rural health care providers were also organized, where diagnostic medical devices and telemedicine systems were presented. In July 2007, a pool of health professionals was trained here to use PC, digital cameras, and basic medical devices. Photos of center |
